1. Warranty Coverage

1.1  Guarantee

We guarantee that our products are free from defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period listed in Schedule A. This warranty operates alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a refund or replacement for major failures, compensation for foreseeable loss or damage, and repair or replacement for non‑major failures.

1.2 Additional Protection

This warranty is provided in addition to any rights you already have under relevant laws.

1.3 Our Responsibilities

If a product does not meet this warranty, we will choose one of the following options:

• Repair the product.
• Replace it with the same or a comparable item; or
• Refund the purchase price.

1.4 Installation & Removal & Consequential Damages

We will not be responsible for installation or removal of any of our products that we agree to replace.  We are also not responsible for any consequential damages you suffer resulting from any of our products unless imposed under the Australian Consumer Law.

1.5 When Claims Are Not Accepted

A warranty claim will not be approved if:

• The product is not installed by a relevant licensed trade person and in accordance with Australian standards.
• The product is not defective.
• Damage results from misuse, neglect, or improper installation.
• Maintenance requirements or relevant standards were not followed.
• Non‑approved parts or accessories were used.
• The issue is due to normal wear and tear.
• Damage is caused by external events such as fire, flood, or pests.
• Water pressure is outside the required limits, causing failure or corrosion.

2. Making a Warranty Claim

2.1 Steps to Lodge a Claim

To submit a claim, you must:

• Notify us in writing at warranty@thebathroomoutlet.com.au with proof of purchase and photos of the defect;
• Provide a written description of the issue;
• Allow us access to inspect the product;
• Permit inspection before the claim is processed.

2.2 Returning Goods

You are responsible for any costs associated with returning the product to us.

2.3 Situations Not Covered

This warranty does not apply if the defect is caused by:

• Your actions or omissions;
• Failure to follow installation or maintenance instructions;
• Use of incompatible parts or accessories;
• Normal wear and tear;
• Accidents or environmental damage;
• Pest activity;
• Water pressure outside the recommended range.

3. Additional Exclusions

This warranty does not cover defects arising from:

• Missing or incorrectly installed flow regulators or check valves.
• Blockages caused by inadequate system flushing or contaminated water supply.
• Use of chemical additives in water systems.
• Cleaning with harsh or abrasive substances.
• Exposure to oxidising agents on metal finishes.
• Damage during installation or post‑installation use.
• Third‑party negligence or unauthorised modifications.
• Use outside the intended purpose.
• Continued use after a defect becomes apparent.
• Integration of other fixtures into the product.
• Failure to report defects within a reasonable timeframe.
• Reasonable wear and tear.
• Events beyond our control, such as natural disasters or acts of war.
• Repairs or alterations not carried out by us.

4. General Conditions

4.1 Jurisdiction

This warranty is valid only in Australia and is governed by the laws of Western Australia.

4.2 Non‑Transferable

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and cannot be relied upon by third parties.

4.3 No Assignment

This warranty cannot be transferred or assigned to another person.

4.4 Severability

If any part of this warranty is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part will be adjusted or removed without affecting the remainder of the document.
